Athens City Tour
The half day tour in Athens starts from the pick up point where you specify. Then our first visit is Acropolis the symbol of Western Civilization. The panoramic view of the capital city is unique and the tour on the Sacred Rock brings awe to the visitor. If time permits we will visit the New Acropolis Museum that has held since the inauguration of its operation a high record of visitors.
Our next destination is to the Temple of Olympian Zeus which was built in the Greco – Roman period, located southeast of Acropolis and was the largest temple in Greece in the 2nd century AD.
Then we head to the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympics performed in 1896 and then we will proceed at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which is in front of the Greek Parliament where you can take photos. Then we will visit the unique architectural monuments in the city center Athens trilogy (Academy, University and Library) and at the end of our tour we will visit the top of Lycabettus hill, the highest hilltop of modern Athens. Surrounded by pine trees and with a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.
