The full day tour at Delphi starts from Athens and lasts for about eight hours. We begin our journey to Delphi heading north on the National Road passing by the towns of Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, which is also a famous winter resort. Then we will have a brief stop for photos. In ancient times Delphi was known as the “navel” of the earth. After arriving at the Archeological site of Delphi we visit the Temple of Apollo, the Theatre , the stadium and the Museum of Delphi.
The Museum of Delphi hosts spectacular ancient findings as the Charioteer, the Sphinx and the statue of Antinous. After our visit to the archaeological site you can have lunch and then we will begin our return trip. On our way to Athens, we will pass through the village of Arachova to see the magnificent view. The village is built on the southern slope of Mount Parnassus and is known for its hand-woven carpets, rugs and the famous wine and cheese.
